River Run Beef is raised the way beef should be raised - the old fashioned way. Fattened on natural green grass the meat is tastier and inherently healthier. Studies have shown that we need the right balance of fatty acids for optimal health and that grass fed beef has much higher ratios of the omega 3's that the American diet is generally deficient on, and much lower ratios of omega 6's -those we get way too much of. With a teen age daughter in my house, I have done my best to educate myself on the subject. Forget the mercury contaminated salmon and get your good fatty acids from beef. We have been buying our beef from River Run Farm for several years now and find the meat tender and delicious, while knowing that we can eat beef and feel good about it. I believe that eating the right balance of grass fed meat and vegetables is the key to good health. I'll be sticking with my River Run Beef.
